Digital Cameras are getting more and more advanced as time goes by. In fact, digital cameras are getting so technologically advanced that they are, in a way, replacing professional photography services as people’s number one choice for photo options. The days of buying ten dollar prints from your local photographer are over, because you can easily replace these photos with photos taken from your own digital camera.

No, you might not have the same amount of training, or the same kind of photo lab… but who really needs these when you have a camera that is basically just as high in quality, a Wal-Mart, and a cousin who just happens to be into amateur photography? And actually, come to think of it, old-fashioned sit and smile photography is slowly going out the window, being steadily replaced by a culturally phenomenal movement consisting of instant cell phone style art, like the kind of personal pictures you see on Myspace. Of course, people are probably not going to forsake conventional photography work altogether, but it is plain to see that the trend is working it’s way out of it.

Why? Well, there are many reasons. First off, you can buy a very high quality digital camera for about the same price as you can hire a photographer for your wedding! Then, you can give it to your college-student friend, who will probably take cooler pictures that you will find more memorable than any professional would have! Why? Well, perhaps it is because their mind has not been contorted with years of photography experience before-hand. They have a new grasp on it, they know what is cool nowadays, and that is what they deliver. Of course, this is good news for the camera industry… but bad news for your local photographer.
